In late November it will be time again: from November 25 to 28, 2013, the international construction fair The Big5, the largest building trade fair in the Middle East, will take place in Dubai (UAE).

In accordance with the slogan of the fair – “International Building and Construction Show” – products and solutions from the following industrial sectors will be exhibited furing the trade fair: building, air conditioning, refrigeration, water technology, and environmental engineering.   

At its trade fair booth, GEA Refrigeration Technologies will present key product innovations and proven solutions in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning. One highlight will be the new GEA Plusbox, which GEA Refrigeration Technologies is offering for the first time: a series of complete, modular-design outdoor condenser sets based on semi-hermetic GEA Bock compressors and GEA condensers.

The GEA Plusbox can be configured according to the individual requirements of plant-systems contractors and is characterized by good energy efficiency. With a considerably higher COP (coefficient of performance) than comparable condenser sets from other manufacturers, the new Plusbox is a pioneer with regard to energy. The product offers generous space, which makes work on the system easier. 

In addition to the Plusbox, GEA Refrigeration Technologies this year has expanded its series of condensing units by adding the air-cooled GEA Bock SHG5…L and SHG6…L series, as well as the two-stage SHGZ7…L version. These new units offer a comprehensive program, with displacement from 5.4 to 122.4 m³/h. In Dubai GEA will likewise present the SHG5 condensing unit, which is especially suited for high ambient temperatures.

The fairgoer will also be able to appraise the GEA Bock EX-HG12P ATEX compressor. ATEX compressors, for example, are employed in chillers in Kuwait and ensure optimal air conditioning of container-type control centers that coordinate measurements in oil and gas fields there.
