GRADE Refrigeration is an Industrial Refrigeration contractor operating in the MENA region. The QA/QC Engineer will dedicate himself to the best of his ability to improve the profitability of the Company and its affiliates. The QA/QC Engineer will be reporting technically to the Operations Manager and administratively to the Country Area Manager. 

The Position 

  • Perform quality assurance, control inspections and submittal reviews.

  • Organize, implement, conduct and manage the QA/QC programs as per the Company's Quality Policy.

  • Coordinates the document controls for technical submittals, drawings, etc. with the Project Team and ensures the QA/QC validation has been done. Ensures their issue, amends and recall of controlled documents.

  • Coordinates all inspections, monitor required tests and records inspections and tests made as per the Contract Plan and Contract Specifications.

  • Coordinate with the Project Manager regarding work performance and hold authority to stop work in any area where discrepancies remain uncorrected and/or cancel the stop work order upon satisfactory correction of noted deficiencies.

  • Provide technical support to the Project Manager and guidance to site staff in submission of materials for approval, request for inspection, shop drawings, As-built drawings, O & M manual.

  • Ensure that Non-Conformance Report (NCR) is raised once the activities deviated from the Contract Specifications or normal company practices.

  • Coordinate with the project staff to compile and maintain pertinent records of inspection and testing until end of the contract and all pertinent records for retention on completion of the project.

  • Oversee all site problems with regards to QA/QC

  • Represent the company to third parties for presenting QA/QC issues resolution. 

Qualifications 

  • Must have minimum 5 years of experience and good knowledge in QA/QC of construction projects

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

  • Excellent knowledge in different industrial refrigeration work scope with full understanding and implementation of Quality Standards

  • Experience in interpreting tests on mechanical, electrical with codes

  • Fluent in English both written and verbal

  • Able and willing to travel to different projects-often to be based at sites for weeks or months

The Senior Project Manager will dedicate himself to the best of his ability to improve the profitability of the Company and its affiliates. The Senior Project Manager will be working all over the MENA region and reports to the Operations Manager.  

The Position 

  • Ultimately responsible for the projects, both in terms of budget, planning and technology.

  • In close collaboration with the sales engineers, as the projects are detailed in tender stage (drawing P & IDs, equipment lists, costing).

  • Manages the design of the project and the planning in coordination with the engineering department.

  • Manages the execution of the project in co-ordination with the site engineer, site supervisor and sub-contractors.

  • Approve purchase orders and expenses for the project control system.

  • Manages the projects budget in the company AXAPTA system, issue invoices and variation orders in co-ordination with the relevant departments.

  • Monitor turn-over, profit and budgeting for indirect cost within the project.

  • Close follow up of the project activities during construction and takes the initiative and monitors process improvements in the project.

  • After building stage, you are responsible for starting up the plant, in collaboration with commissioning teams and the correct finishing of as-built project documentation.

  • Monitor technical quality of the project and prepares project evaluation reports, costing and discusses with the Operations Manager.

  • Produces high quality and detailed written project reports.

  • Maintains contacts with suppliers and sub-contractors in consultation with the operations and purchasing department.

  • Must be willing to travel as job function requires.

  • High organizational skills, able to monitor and evaluate other project managers and facilitate their works. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferably in refrigeration.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Industrial Refrigeration or similar field

  • Excellent managerial skill and experience in leading a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians.

  • Practices good communication, leadership, strong decision maker, problem solver and result-oriented attitude with multi-task skills.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).

  • Preferably Arabic speaker; fluent English also essential.

  • Age between 35-48 years old.

The Position 

  • Perform all administrative duties for the HR Department.

  • Maintains human resources records of new hires, transfers, terminations, changes in job classifications, merit increases, employee leaves and attendance.

  • Document human resources actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records.

  • Act in a confidential capacity handling external and internal inquiries from the public, employees and departments.

  • Preparing monthly reports, research and analyze data for special projects assigned.
