The Project Sales Support Engineer will be reporting to the Sales Manager.

 

 Job Description

Your tasks

  • Map (among other things) the wishes of the customer and co-determine the sales strategy with the Head of Sales Support.
  • Advise, design and calculate customer-specific refrigeration and heat pump solutions.
  • Assess the offers from third parties and provide all refrigeration calculations, cost calculations and principle drawings
  • Deliver a commercially and technically sound calculation and subsequent quotation,
  • Present calculation and quotation to the customer together with the Sales Engineer;
  • Ensure accurate quotation monitoring and follow up requirements
  • Responsible for own resource planning to meet often demanding timescales
  • Provide the necessary documentation required for project handover to the execution department
  • Organize (project team) meetings whether or not in consultation with the Head of Sales Support
  • Contact clients regarding customer-specific refrigeration and heat pump solutions, whether or not in consultation with the Area Manager/Sales Engineer.
  • Transfer knowledge and apply learning experience from completed to current and future refrigeration and heat pump solutions.
  • Transfer knowledge related to refrigeration calculations, cost calculations and principle drawings to stakeholders within the organization for development and innovation
  • Safeguard knowledge by guiding and coaching colleagues within the Sales Support Team and the Sales department.

  • Ability to travel, work abroad and adapt to local conditions (occasionally)

  

Your profile

  • University education level; mechanical engineering with additional training, such as refrigeration, heat-transfer, etc.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial refrigeration with experience in designing and calculation of industrial refrigeration solutions.
  • Fully aware of all relevant standards and guidelines, such as the EN-378, PED and PGS13; including country specific requirements where necessary.
  • Familiar with refrigeration solutions utilizing ammonia, carbon dioxide and propane.
  • Excellent command of the English language and Arabic, both verbally and in writing.
  • German and French are an added advantage.
  • Innovative, creative and a results driven team player.
  • Good commercial, communicative and social skills.

  • Fully aware of all relevant standards and guidelines, such as the EN-378, PED and PGS13; including country specific requirements where necessary
  • Familiar with refrigeration solutions utilizing ammonia, carbon dioxide and propane.
  • Excellent command of the English language and Arabic, both verbally and in writing.

Your tasks

  •  Has commercial responsibility for (sales) relations in the region. Should actively manage, maintain relations, and develop new relations (sales acquisition).
  •  Translates a customer request into a quotation.
  •  Costing and selecting the suitable equipment.
  •  Prepares quotations including technical specifications.
  •  Negotiation and finalization of the quotations with the clients.
  •  Coordinating all activities together with the Department Head and other departments of the company.
  •  After receipt of orders: prepares order confirmations, purchase orders and follows up till shipment of the material.
  •  Sales support to branch offices and distributors in the region.
  •  Tender evaluation, preliminary costing, preparation of specifications and offers.
  •  Consults customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
  •  Consults service engineers, project managers and project/sales engineers.

Your profile

  •  Bachelor Degree in Mechanical (Industrial Refrigeration Engineering is an advantage)
  •  Minimum 5 years of ammonia refrigeration related experience in sales or service
  •  Proficient in MS Office applications
  •  Customer / Sales oriented
  •  Good in communication, self-presentation and negotiation skills

The Position

  • The person will also be the lead expert with extensive knowledge of the construction, operation, and application of the GEA Flow Components range of products.
  • The role supports all inside sales operations and product management related.
  • Coordinate with Product Development and Sales Steering functions, including new product developments and new market demands.
  • The role necessitates exceptional inside sales management skills for a local and remote based team.
  • The role will also require application engineering knowledge as well as project management skills.
  • The position has full access to available technical and operational resources for all projects, including the aseptic and hygienic application managers and field service department.
