GEA at Foodex 2014, the UK trade fair for processing, packaging, and logistics, in Birmingham (England), from March 24 to March 26, 2014, at Stand R391.

GEA Grasso BluAstrum

At Foodex 2014 in Birmingham (England), GEA Refrigeration Technologies will present products for refrigeration applications. The highlight of the stand will be the GEA Grasso BluAstrum ammonia chiller. The GEA Grasso BluAstrum range achieves great efficiency on a compact footprint. The essential element of this range is a new generation of screw compressors that, at both full and part loads, achieve outstanding efficiency owing to infinitely variable Vi and speed control. The intelligent user-friendly PLC control system likewise contributes to high efficiency levels with low operating costs. Owing not least to the natural refrigerant ammonia (R717), the GEA Grasso BluAstrum range also represents a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution that fulfills strictest requirements for refrigeration systems in the temperature range from -15 to 15 °C.

GEA Grasso V 600

At Foodex, GEA Refrigeration Technologies will likewise show a powerful piston compressor in the V range: the GEA Grasso V 600. This range was developed with the objective of achieving optimal performance with minimal operating, maintenance, and energy costs. In addition to beneficial structural-design details, the Maintenance Monitor of these compressors assures low maintenance costs by recording operational conditions and evaluating them. This feature implements maintenance oriented to the actual operational state, which often enables conducting maintenance work later than does service that is based on time intervals – but without endangering the operational safety or the reliability of the compressors. The GEA Grasso V series, as single-stage V models, covers the output range from 237 to 1372 kW (with ammonia as refrigerant at 0/+40 °C). The models in the dual-stage VT series offer maximum cooling duty of 34 to 203 kW (with ammonia and at -40/+35 °C).

GEA Refrigeration Technologies is looking forward to your visit at Stand R391.
