GEA GRADE Refrigeration is an industrial Refrigeration contractor operating in the MENA region. The Senior HR Officer will dedicate himself/herself to the best of his/her ability to improve the profitability of the Company and its affiliates. The Senior HR Officer will be reporting to the HR Manager.  

The Position  

  • Perform HR Generalist role with demonstrable experience working across MENA countries, he/she will be responsible for all HR/Admin related support across employee’s work life cycle within the company.

  • Working with the HRM to implement best practices and procedures to streamline existing processes.

  • Serve as an escalation point for personnel and employee relations issues by providing guidance and intervention as needed to employees and line managers to resolve personnel and vocational issues.

  • Ensure proper onboarding for newcomers and enroll them into company recruitment system, HRIS, File preparation, Visa processing, open bank accounts, registering in medical insurance…etc.

  • Be a clear communicator who is pro-active, logical, analytical and results-oriented further to exceptional problem solve solutions and initiate realistic innovations to maintain better work environment.

  • Thrive in managing numerous tasks accurately and simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Produce HR reports compiling data from various source systems, ensuring all data is accurate and reports are delivered in a timely manner. Support and advise employees on HR policy, ensure compliance to the company’s policies through HR session. Answer all questions of new joiners, ensure bank account opening for those who wish company to open a bank account for them Update employees with annual ticket reimbursement, advance salary request. Scan documents and maintain the tracker.

  • Able to work independently, make decisions within the scope of his/her role and adhere to policies and procedures.

  • Understand team collaboration in a matrix environment and have effective networking, relationship building skills at all levels within GRADE territories.

  • Hands on job C&B practitioner within MENA regions that include but not limited to calculations, payroll journals, income taxes, WPS, EOS, Salary Advance, deductions, allowances..etc..

  • Contribute to team efficiency through high quality of personal work and by influencing teammates outputs to required standards

  • Provide support during the recruitment cycle while hiring all positions within GRADE territory.

  • Control Visa processing activities, communicate with PRO's and employees, update direct line manager

    and ensure the recruitment procedures, agreements and methodologies are in alignment with the countries labor law.

  • Act as a trusted Employee relation agent between employees, HRM and company management.

  • Supervise the regular HR day2day tasks for HO and all satellite offices that includes but not limited to daily attendance, leaves, OT, business travel expenses, payroll, contracts, local bylaws..etc.

  • Conduct employee orientation and facilitating newcomers joining formalities such as handover of handbook, company introduction, code of conduct, internal policies and procedures and communications.  

Qualifications  

  • HR Generalist/Officer with HR degree working in matrix organization supporting diverse, complex and rapid business culture.

  • Professional HR certificate would be advantage but not essential.

  • flexible, enthusiastic, pro-active, result oriented team member whom can perform under pressure.

  • Minimum of 6-8 years experience in HR on which 3 years as HR Senior Officer.

  • Knowledge in Labor law and payroll management

  • Extensive knowledge about MENA region labor laws and local regulations.

  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with HRIS (Oracle) or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired

  • Excellent English communication skills, fluency in Arabic would be an advantage but not mandatory

  • Knowledgeable with basic research methods and reporting techniques

  • Must be professional with great time-management, multi-task, and can handle confidential files and documents

  • Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to quickly establish a rapport

    with people.

  • Comfortable to travel within MENA region as per business requirements.
